About the project
The Hunt transmission project proposes to build approximately 33 miles of 345 kilovolt ("kV") transmission line across iconic landscapes in Northern New Mexico. The line will have 90 ft to 120 ft tall poles every 800 ft or less and will spoil our beautiful land!
Save the Black Mesa
The proposed Hunt Power Line would run close to the iconic Black Mesa a sacred mountain on the San Ildefonso Pueblo.
In 1996, with the aid of a US Fish and Wildlife Service Stewardship
Grant, a constructed wetlands was created by the owners of a
Permaculture community off CR-101C in Jacona. The Wildlife
Habitat is now at risk.
Reported diseases caused by electromagnetic radiation include: Childhood leukemia, possibly brain tumors and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
